Alphabet Song

Levi is learning his alphabet, and the best way to do that is to have a famous musician teach it to you.

Which is your favorite?

LENA HORNE: MoTown ABC.

Patti LaBelle: Black Church, with Shout ABC.

India Arie: Neo Soul ABC.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo: African ABC

Take 6: Harmonic ABC

Manhattan Transfer: Swinging ABC

Celebrity ABC, with Ray Charles, Patrick Stewart, David Robinson, Susan Surandon, Lambchop, and Tony Bennett.

3 Stooges: Teaching girls.

AND THIS MIGHT BE THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE EVER SEEN.

  1. You’re right about the Patrick Stewart version!! (I’ve never heard that song sung with the British/Canadian pronunciation of Z. How do you end it? “…to tell you what you mean to… Ed”?

  2. I’ve always been partial to the Three Stooges, but they’re all pretty kickin’.

And I agree: you should write one. You know what they say, “You’re not really popular until you’ve been on Sesame Street.”

  3. The best for our little boy has been the DVD with the alphabet in the brainy baby series. But Levi may be too old and ADD for that.
